I include one video each day in my class announcements, and <a href=\"http:\/\/ouclassannouncements.blogspot.com\/2016\/11\/tuesday-november-1.html\"><strong>today&#8217;s announcements<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0contain an AMAZING <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=IxkfbzaJIDI&amp;feature=youtu.be&amp;list=PLrWYQjLLbXcgfQhMaJdYAS_e2R5JzGNE8\">new video by Maati Baani<\/a>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Naina Bawre | Mithoon &amp; Maati Baani | Vijay Varma | Jammin\" width=\"660\" height=\"371\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IxkfbzaJIDI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how it looks inside my Canvas homepage;\u00a0you can also visit the class directly yourself (no log-in required) by going to <a href=\"http:\/\/India.MythFolklore.net\"><strong>India.MythFolklore.net<\/strong><\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/canvas.lauragibbs.net\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/jammin-e1478015525293.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-52 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/canvas.lauragibbs.net\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/jammin-e1478015525293.png\" alt=\"jammin\" width=\"500\" height=\"602\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I also include the entire video <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLrWYQjLLbXch5e41DaVwV1RZ7CAE1eoMF\"><strong>playlist of the Announcements<\/strong><\/a> in the sidebar of the announcements blog, as you can see here (that&#8217;s especially handy for students who might not always scroll down to see the whole blog post each day):<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/canvas.lauragibbs.net\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/jammin2-e1478015616543.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-51 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/canvas.lauragibbs.net\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/jammin2-e1478015616543.png\" alt=\"jammin2\" width=\"500\" height=\"270\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Using playlists like this is great because it means if a student plays the current day&#8217;s video, the video will carry on to the next video and the next, and so on. At this point, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLrWYQjLLbXch5e41DaVwV1RZ7CAE1eoMF\"><strong>Announcements playlist<\/strong><\/a> has 74 videos in it as of right now (new video every day of the semester), so potentially all kinds of items of interest to the students.<\/p>\n<p>I can also embed the playlist in the other blogs I use as part of the class, like this blog dedicated to the readings for the Myth-Folklore class; this week, it&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/mythfolklore.blogspot.com\/p\/weeks-11-12.html\"><strong>British and Celtic readings<\/strong><\/a>, and the video playlist is in the sidebar.
